Sandwiched between mountains of pine forest, icy rivers and creeks and overlooked by the majestic peak of Mt Tahtali, is the rural village of Cirali, an area protected by the World Wide Fund for Nature. The 4-kilometre wide pebble beach is a nesting area for Caretta Carretta, an endangered species of Loggerhead Sea Turtles, their nesting sites are roped off for protection from May to October when camping or making fires on the beach is prohibited. The beach continues past the edge of the village, below sheer cliff face, to meet the mouth of a river and the first ruined buildings of the ancient Lycian city of Olympos. Cirali is one of the last unspoiled areas on the Antalya coastline and hikers love this location. The famous 500 kilometres Lycian Way, Turkey's first long-distance marked hiking trail, passes through this quiet village.

Following the red and white markers and stone piles can take you past Chimaera, a naturally occurring phenomenon, where small flames burst from gaps in the rocks, flickering silently throughout day and night. Just two hours hiking can take you to the Village of Ulupinar, famous for its freshwater and Trout Farm restaurants, or you could take a seaside trail to some of the nearby secluded beaches, explore an abandoned mine and enjoy a marvellous view over the glistening Mediterranean coastline. Here the tranquil waters take their colour from the surrounding forests giving the sea a stunning emerald green glow.

Cirali is far less developed than its coastal neighbours, Olympos and Kemer, however, the village still has a decent choice of Guesthouses, Pansiyons and campsites, as well as a handful of seaside fish restaurants and a few small grocery stores. The quaint village offers its visitors a peaceful retreat although there are still plenty of options in the area for climbing, kayaking, trekking and quad biking for the more adventurous guests.

Çıralı is one of the most popular holiday regions of the region with its 3.5 km unique sandy beach and stunning natural beauties. It is approximately 83 km from Antalya and 28 km from Kemer.

The beach consists of fine pebbles and sand, surrounded by rocks on both sides. While the parts close to the sea are fine pebbles, there is a large sandy area with a width of 50-100 meters behind.

Cirali has one of the most beautiful seas of Antalya with its pristine clear waters. It offers countless opportunities to have a pleasant time every hour of the day. Behind the beach, which is free of charge, many restaurants and cafes are available. You can rent sun loungers and umbrellas from these establishments and take a resting and eating break while enjoying the stunning view. Watching the sunsets, full moons and stars on the beach, which is silent in the evening hours, leaves deep traces in the memories.

The construction in harmony with nature adds a different beauty to the region. There are many boutique hostels, tree houses and bungalows at the back of the beach. You can have a peaceful and enjoyable holiday without sacrificing your comfort in these establishments located among the trees and fragrant flowers. Camping enthusiasts also visit the region frequently to enjoy this unique atmosphere.

Çıralı Beach is one of the most important spawning areas of the endangered sea turtles on the Mediterranean coast. On the beach, where you can see many nests protected by wires during the summer months, there is no lighting at night so that the turtles can find their way easily. In addition, sun loungers and umbrellas are placed 20 to 30 meters from the shore.

When you visit Çıralı, whose historical texture and natural wealth is under protection and declared as a 1st degree protected area, don't forget to explore the ancient city of Olympos at the south end of the beach and Yanartaş in the northwest!
